The Anthony United Methodist Church strives to be a place where one is nurtured and transformed by the love of Jesus Christ, trained as a disciple and sent out into the world so that other may also know of his love. Faith is important to the people of the church, but so are the works of that faith. |

What Is Expected
|
| Becoming A Member If you are interested in becoming a member of the church, please make an appointment to meet with the pastor by contacting the church office or e-mailing the office at anthonyumc@sbcglobal.net. You can call for an appointment at (620)842-5486. Ways To Become a Member
If you are a member of another United Methodist church or any other Christian church, you can join Anthony United Methodist through a letter of transfer which our church office will be happy to arrange. If you
are a member of the United Methodist Church, and you are living in the
Anthony area at a distance from their home church and desire to keep your
membership there, you may become an Affiliate Member of First Church,
retaining your membership "back home." If you are a member of
another denomination, you may become an Associate Member under the same
circumstances. A profession
of faith will include the sacrament of baptism if you have never been
baptized. (We do accept professions of faith from denominations that do
not practice water baptism as sufficient.) We accept the baptisms of other
denominations and we do not re-baptize in the United Methodist Church.
We will reaffirm your baptism upon request. |
